Victor
Limited's evolution into an international men's fashion
company commenced in 1913, the year the company was
founded. To-day the enterprise remains a family-owned
business with Herschel Victor, CEO, and Alan Victor,
President, representing the second and third generations
respectively. Since its inception,
the company has been inspired by the original values
of Jack Victor - to excel at product quality and customer
service, to provide fashion
and superior value, and to maintain the highest standards
of integrity. Over 700 employees now work daily at our
Montreal corporate office and manufacturing facility,
where all Jack Victor clothing is produced. About 70%
of the suits, sportcoats, trousers and tuxedos made
are exported to the United States, the United Kingdom,
Puerto Rico and Central America. Distribution has commenced
as well in Russia and the Far East.
The manufacture of quality tailored clothing is a challenging
endeavor. It begins with the development of the fashion
direction for the season. At this early stage, proposed
models and silhouettes are prepared and approved. The
approximately 800 different fabrics that comprise the
collection are also selected and co-ordinated with final
styling. Scheduling production for customers' orders
demands precise co-ordination. Fabric, lining and many
other component parts must be delivered just-in-time
from around the world to our Montreal factory. Once
on site, there are almost 300 individual operations
(cutting, pressing or sewing) that contribute to the
final tailored suit. A dedicated workforce and careful
production supervisors create a quality product. This
is our greatest satisfaction: fine men's fashion. Additional
